The 1980-81 Cavaliers won a school-record 22 games before falling 49-37 to No. 1 ranked Canton McKinley at the Canton Civic Center in the Class AA Regional Semi-Finals.

They finished 19-0 in the regular season, were Ohio Capital Conference Champions, Sectional and District Champions, and ranked No. 3 in the State AP Poll.
