Adam Porter graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1999.

Adam was selected 1st Team All-Ohio in football his junior year, and 2nd Team All-Ohio as a senior. He beat out former Ohio State star Ben Hartsock for the Chillicothe Gazette Player of the Year in 1997 and 1998, and he was the CHS Offensive Player of the Year both years as well. He finished 5th in the Ohio Mr. Football voting in 1998, his senior year. He scored 434 points in his career, a school record. Against Mount Vernon, he scored 6 TDs; he completed 15 for 23 passes against Upper Arlington HS for 190 yards, and carried the ball 16 times for 93 yards; and against Reynoldsburg, he led a furious comeback that some have called the greatest comeback in school history, going 14-21 for 198 yards passing and carrying the ball 16 times for 176 yards rushing.

Adam attended Ohio University on a full scholarship and was a 3-year letterman in football. He was twice selected as the Player of the Game.
